Wow, where to begin?!?!? I had the awesome privilege to have stayed for 1 night at the glorious Pepper Club Luxury Hotel & Spa this weekend and I think I fell in love with this hotel!! I was amazed from the moment I stepped into the hotel until the moment I left. From a personalised letter that awaits you in your room, to luxury that is beyond imagination, you are sure to be in for a surprise around every corner!!
The Pepper Club Luxury Hotel & Spa is located in Cape Town on the corner of Loop & Pepper street (Loop runs parallel with the famous Long Street) and overlooks the beauty and majesty of Table Mountain. The hotel is right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Cape Town CBD and is the perfect base to explore the beauty of Cape Town. The room that was allocated to me was beyond perfect. I was expecting just a room with an en-suite bathroom, but the staff of Pepper Club Luxury Hotel & Spa went out of their way to make sure that I experience true luxury and reserved a whole suite for me!! The suite consisted of a small kitchenette, with build-in stove and oven, kettle, microwave, coffee machine, fridge & tea/coffee facilities and the kitchen is stocked with an honesty bar, should you stay for a longer period.
The bedroom had a massive King size bed with a breathtaking view over the city. The room had its own en-suite bathroom with bath, shower, toilet and beautiful basin. The bathroom was stoked with everything you can imagine. There was enough white fluffy towels, shampoos, conditioners, body wash, body lotion, a sewing kit, a vanity kit, a shoe kit and a shower cap – everything and more one can think of. I LOVED the shower!! It was one of the most relaxing showers I’ve taken in a long, long time. The room was kitted with a lock up save, big enough to store your laptop, fluffy white gowns & a huge LCD TV. There is also more than enough cupboard space, should you stay for a longer period.
The suite had its own lounge with a LCD TV & DVD Player and a small dining area with internet connection. The internet connection is either wired (which is provided) or you can make use of the complimentary Wi-Fi (there is, however a limit on downloadable data). My favourite thing about my room was the 90 degree balcony that overlooks the city and the beautiful Table Mountain. I probably spend hours just standing on the balcony and taking in the breathtaking views!!!
From the moment we have entered the hotel, we were greeted by friendly staff as far as we went. You can see that each staff member has a passion for what they do and really put the needs and requests of the guests top of their priority list and are ready to assist wherever they can. One can also see that cleanliness is something that is taken very seriously and is visible everywhere you go. Our room was exceptionally clean and one felt welcomed and important. Service is another thing that is taken very seriously by the staff of Pepper Club Luxury Hotel Spa. Once you have requested something, you can be sure that you will be assisted as best as possible and as soon as possible. Services that are offered by the hotel includes 24 hour room service, wake-up call, travel arrangements, booking of flights, transport, airport transfers, valet services, laundry services and anything else you would expect from a 5 star hotel. During our stay at Pepper Club Luxury Hotel & Spa we were treated with a complimentary bottle of locally produced red wine and some delicious snacks (which I did not expect). Later on that night, we received complimentary still bottled water and was offered to open our bed for us.
In the morning I went to the restaurant for a buffet breakfast and oh my, I think that was one of THE highlights of my stay. (Before I continue, I would just like to mention – in your room, you have an in-room breakfast menu. They provide you with the menu and you can than tick off what you want for breakfast and then hang it around your door knob before 03:00 am every day and they will deliver your breakfast in the comfort of your own room, how is that for service!!) Breakfast was amazing with so many delicious delicacies to choose from. For those who like cereal in the morning, there is so many cereals to choose from including a choice between 2 types of yogurts. There was a whole selection of delicious fruits, cheese & cold meats. For those who enjoys a warm breakfast, you have a choice between scrambled egg, fried egg, poached egg, pork sausages, beef sausages, beacon, savoury mince, fried tomato, baked beans, mushrooms and a wide selection of breads and croissants. There is also a table with a selection of juice. I love food, so I HAD to have something of everything, which means that I did not eat for the rest of the day . . . but it was SO worth it!!
To conclude, as I’ve already mentioned, I absolutely fell in love with this hotel and I badly wanted to stay another night!! There is SO much more to experience at the hotel, like the gym, the spa & sauna, the heated swimming pool and not to forget the 29 seater cinema with a DVD library that is stocked with a wide variety of movies one can choose from. This is 5 star luxury at its best and with their very competitive rates, this is THE place to stay. If you want to be treated like a king/queen and is looking for the prefect base to explore the beauty and wonders of Cape Town, then I HIGHLY recommend you book your place at Pepper Club Luxury Hotel & Spa for at least 3 – 4 days in order to be appreciate the absolute beauty of Cape Town and, most importantly, to enjoy everything that this 5 star luxury hotel has to offer!!
